It's a BOY!!

So...we found out a couple weeks ago that we're going to have a little baby boy in March. We're way excited about it, and have started looking at cribs and strollers and little Red Sox jersey's for him to wear. He's already got his first socks that he's going to wear home from the hospital. Today is his 24 week birthday, so he's almost here, only about 16 more weeks to go!!

We moved into "our" house too, and finally we're settled. Our little guy already has his room picked out, and we can't decorate too much, but it actually doesn't look bad. Things are moving along well over here, we can wait for him to get here!!

Viva Mexico!!

So, for Fall Break, we all went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera going to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. It was awesome to say the least. We left from LA on Saturday and got to PV Tuesday. We went into the city and had a nice long walk to the market and the centro in town. Shopped around for some bargains, those Mexicans are brutal in their little flea markets. They'll do anything to get your attention and get your money. We bargained a bit for a cool hammock and some other little souvenir stuff and had lunch at a familiar American place, Hard Rock Cafe. Back to the ship and we were off to Mazatlan.

Same thing there, we went into town, shopped around a bit, toured an old church and went to the beach. They're crazy about selling there too, come up to you while you're laying down and ask if you want to buy all sorts of crap. We got a little spot right by a restaurant and had some lunch there and enjoyed the big waves, a little body surfing, and awesome warm water. They said it was in the upper 80's for the temp. Back to the ship again and we're off to Cabo. Cabo was amazing, I think the best place out of the whole trip. We took a little boat tour of the coast, Lover's Beach, and the Arcos and came back to lay on the beach again. Playing in the clear water was amazing too, we rented jet skis and had a blast. Hours and hours of playing on the beach and in the water is the best way to go! We got back on the boat again and spent a day and a half getting back to LA. The weather was amazing, no clouds and hot, sunny days. We're definitely going back, and trying new things next time. If you haven't been on a trip like that, you gotta go!

ROCKtober!!!!

Stacy and I went with Jon and Alli to the Rockies game against the Diamondbacks. It was awesome. This video is of Matt Holiday hitting a homerun and the crowd going crazy. Bring on the Sox!

More Good News!

We went to Utah for Troy's wedding at the end of September, and the first night we were there, we decided to tell her family that we were going to have a baby in March. We did it the same way we told my family, but this time we sent the package from the Utah Jazz Souvenir Sales and Promotions, or something like that. We got a great reaction from her mom and everybody was really happy for us. "STACY ANN.....STACY!!!!"

We've got some big news!!

So, after 6 years of marriage, guess who's gonna have a kid coming into the world? Yup, we found out on my birthday actually...Stacy surprised me with a lovely present of a positive pregnancy test. It was a huge uh-oh moment, but we are super excited now!! We're just going to be super busy with Stacy's new job, and our graduate program stuff, but we can't wait for the little Bloomer to get here. The baby is due at the end of March and things are going well for right now.

We broke the news to my folks by sending them a package from the Colorado Mammoth Lacrosse team with a little onesie in it that said, "I LOVE GRANDMA AND GRANDPA" on the front, and, "COMING MARCH 2008" on the back. Mom thought it was my sister who was having the kid (I think people kinda gave up on us), and when she realized it was actually Stacy, we got a good reaction out of her.

Anyway, we'll keep you posted!

Somebody has a job!!

Hey world, guess what? Stacy finally landed a job as a 3rd grade teacher at Polton. She's worked there for the past three years in different jobs, but now she's got her own classroom. We're pumped that she's found a place and now it's just up to me to find someone who will take me on. Stacy's going to get a ton of hand-me-down stuff from the previous two teachers who she knows real well, so that's awesome that we won't have to spend a lot of money up front to get her started. We'll keep ya posted on how things go!
